GoPro Hero 3 Skeleton Case Gimbal (3axis)
thingiverse
This was my second project as I got better at things, while still learning to upscale slightly to compensate for the cold basement location. The gimbal is a 3-axis brushless motor system designed for a GoPro Hero 3 in the skeleton case. Watch the movie here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LU4G0ZOkrPE. Print settings include Fill at 0.8, Layer Height at 0.2, and M2's on one side and M3's on the other. For motors, use 2206-140Kv Brushless Gimbal Motors (x2) for $30 or 2804-210Kv Brushless Gimbal Motors (x1) for $20 from Hobbyking.com. SimpleBGC settings are Pitch: P25 I0.3 D33, Power 175; Roll: P33 I0.2 D35, Power 225. Due to size constraints, yaw was not implemented on this model. For further tuning guidance, check out the SimpleBGCTuningGuide on AerialPixels' support site.
