I was in search of a holder that could firmly attach my GoPro Hero 3 to a custom-made gimbal, which would be attached to a quadcopter I'm designing. I came across the design by Zmooth on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:63175), but since I had some extra 25mm wide velcro straps lying around, I decided to create my own from scratch, inspired by the same style. To start, I printed the strap at a 0.2 layer height and 40% infill with raft, and it turned out great. One crucial detail to note is that the side of the strap featuring the 1mm undercuts should face downwards when attached, allowing for smoother clearance past the camera's front lens. Secure attachment was achieved using a single piece of 25mm wide velcro.
