GoPro Hero 3 Black Monitor Mount
thingiverse
Lightweight housing for a GoPro Hero 3 Black, which I converted into a webcam during the lockdown shortage of work-from-home equipment. Camera is able to run off of USB power permanently, and needs a simple £15 adapter to take the live feed from the camera and feed it into the PC as a webcam, interpreted as a 4K feed or 1080p feed at a faster frame rate. Significantly higher quality than any webcam I've tried, including £200+ models. There are two stands included. One is for a 29" Dell monitor using a VESA mount on a monitor arm. The base of this stand screwed into the monitor arm/VESA mount joint, and was made to measure for the GoPro to appear at top of screen, pointing down at me. The second stand is for a G9 Odyssey monitor, and sits on top of the screen itself. This second stand has a bit of tension in it to squeeze onto the monitor for stability, and has been working for a few weeks reliably. Both stands will need an M3 bolt+nut.
