LayerLens managed to strip the rubbery ring around the lens, making the Flanged ring a perfect fit - possibly requiring some sanding of the "elephant feet" for a snugger hold. This ring offers some light shielding and protection for your GoPro lens. The accompanying picture demonstrates its durability after withstanding a severe crash. A tight fit is essential to prevent it from coming loose. Thankfully, no adhesive material is required for installation. In addition, there's also a standard ring that matches the size of the original, which I use when I want to employ another Layer Lens setup.
