GoPro Helmet Torch
thingiverse
An adapter for GoPro helmet bases, enabling the attachment of inexpensive Chinese lights utilizing 18650 batteries. I am pairing this with Thing #6180 from thingiverse.com, which proves to be a tad loose within the GoPro helmet strap I am using, resulting in an undesirable rattling noise that can be alleviated by padding it with some sort of material. A significant snag exists with regards to the current design's radial dimensions causing a snug fit at present. Future redesigns will undoubtedly involve slight modifications to the arm size. Utilizing OpenSCAD, this adapter was crafted and, pending uploads, I plan on releasing a customizable version. The extended arm also allows for seamless attachment of rear light seat post clips as illustrated in accompanying images. Pre-drilled holes accommodate 6mm bolts, ensuring easy assembly and durability. Printed using ABS material with the U-print SE plus.
