GoPro Helmet Front mount

GoPro Helmet Front mount

This is a front mount for a GoPro action cam that attaches to the helmet. I use a Ty-rap to secure it firmly in place. For the knob and nut, I prefer to utilize M4 instead of the original M5 screws. This change not only saves weight but also provides more space around the captive nut, making it easier to work with. The mount was printed using ABS plastic with supports enabled, which helps prevent warping during the printing process. Additionally, a M4 captive nut is embedded inside the fast release attachment for secure and easy removal of the camera. I downloaded the 3D models of the skate helmet and GoPro camera from Grabcad, a website that offers a vast library of user-created models.
