My nephew was eager to get his hands on a custom GoPro mount for his trusty 22mm mountain bike handlebar, so I decided to roll up my sleeves and create something from scratch. Initially, I planned to either print or remix an existing design that fit the bill, but unfortunately, all I could find were mounts with the wrong diameter, and worse still, they only came in .stl format, which isn't exactly easy to tweak. With no time to lose, I quickly fired up Fusion 360 and got to work on designing something new. The result is a sturdy GoPro mount specifically tailored for 22mm diameter handlebars. Simply snap it into place using two reliable zip ties – no need for any pesky captured nuts here! To add an extra layer of security, I opted for hot inserts instead, using robust 5mm inserts that will keep your gear safely in place.
