GoPro Floating Handgrip
myminifactory
Human: I've designed a handgrip that can float in water, perfect for using with a GoPro camera, like the Hero3. It's made specifically for larger hands and comes with a hole where you can insert a safety strap if needed. It's recommended to print this design with ABS because it has a lower density, which makes it more buoyant. However, I haven't tested its floatability with PLA. This handgrip is designed from ABS material. The recommended settings for printing are a nozzle diameter of 0.4 mm, using two layers perimeters, and a layer height of 0.15 mm. You can print at speeds ranging from 30 to 40 mm/s, and the total printing time should be around 2:45 to 3:15 minutes. The infill percentage is recommended to be between 5% to 10%, but I've used 7% in the printing picture provided. No supports are needed for this design, but a brim may help with adhesion. This handgrip is expected to weigh around 22 grams and occupy a volume of approximately 89 cc. I'm always open to feedback, so feel free to share your thoughts. Thanks!
