Human: A custom adapter to couple a GoPro clone (4K Ultra HD Action etc) to a Haco 7x50 binocular is now available. The Openscad source code has been provided, allowing users to modify and improve the design. This adapter represents Mark III, with the final design focusing on getting the camera lens close to the eyepiece lens of the binocular. Users may need to adjust the camera hole diameter for a secure fit, as the o-ring helps provide a tight seal around the binocular's eyepiece. Additionally, users can modify the taper to suit their specific eyepiece requirements by adjusting parameters 1 and 2 (camera_ring_thickness). As an alternative to the o-ring, elastic bands can be used, although this may result in a less aesthetically pleasing design. The adapter has been successfully printed with PLA and ABS materials using a 30% infill and support structure. It's worth noting that Zalophus's tripod adapter worked well with my binoculars and is the simplest design available on Thingiverse at the time of writing.
