GoPro clip mount

GoPro clip mount

I had to figure out how to secure my GoPro to my sea kayak's daybag. This mount can be attached to the daybag's closing strap, but it will require something to keep it stable on top. I used a torsion spring from an old clothespin in the clip and a paperclip wire for the axis. You'll need to drill slanted holes to pass the arms of your torsion spring through the top and bottom plates - just where depends on the spring you use. You can see some extra holes in my plates that I made before I figured it out. Cut off the protruding spring wires so they don't get caught on anything. I've included a 70mm extender that was necessary to get the camera above the bag. This design uses modules from my OpenSCAD primitives library, which are available online and also included in this Thing (code assumes they're under plib/...). You can use, share or modify it as you see fit. Print Settings: Printer: TwoUp Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: Solid Notes: I printed this design in ABS using 0.2mm layer thickness and included the supports. After removing them between prongs, I smooth out the edges with 80 grit sandpaper wrapped around a thin metal piece.
