To attach a GoPro to a standard camera tripod mounting screw, I needed an adapter. The adapter consists of two parts: a M5 cap nut and a 1/4-20 threaded heat insert. First, I printed the part using my 3D printer. Then, I inserted the hardware into the adapter. The camera mount features an octagonal base for effortless hand tightening. To complete this project, you will need to have the following materials: one M5 cap nut on the side for the GoPro screw and one 1/4-20 threaded heat insert in the bottom for the tripod screw.
