To avoid obstructing footage due to a dirty windshield or dashboard, you can attach your GoPro Hero camera to the hood of your car using a custom-made mount. Initially, you tried placing the mount in the center and low but found it difficult to attach the knob and visible in the lens. Therefore, you improved the design by elevating the mount off the triangle and positioning it at the edge. This second version works perfectly. For this mount, you printed with support only to ensure that the holes wouldn't close over and needed minimal filing. The printing settings included 4 solid layers, 4 perimeters, and a 50% infill. This combination provides strong mounting holes and finger mounts without requiring solid infill. Despite having 50% infill, the mount remains flexible to accommodate curved hoods.
