GoPro Boom
thingiverse
I designed this GoPro Boom to simplify positioning of my GoPro in areas where a tripod isn't feasible. This versatile tool can be used in multiple settings, including time-lapse video capture of prints. The Tube Bracket accommodates tubes with an outside diameter of 25.4mm and the pin securing the Tube and Wall brackets together measures 8mm in diameter. You can use a bolt or, as I did, an ink pen for this purpose. Hopefully, you'll find this design useful. A video demonstrating my design process is available here: https://youtu.be/pupMZctdFhA Cheers! Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker Original Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2-0.6 Infill: 30-40% Notes: I initially used 35% infill, but the resulting parts were excessively robust with Colofabb XT. Therefore, I reduced the infill to 15%, and they have performed well. UPDATE: (9/28/16) The recommended infill for the tube bracket can remain at around 20%. However, I've printed several wall brackets, and their rigidity is improved with higher infill percentages. As a result, I'm revising my suggested infill range to 30-40% for optimal results.
