GoPro Backpack Strap Mount

GoPro Backpack Strap Mount

thingiverse

I wanted to attach my GoPro Hero 8 to my backpack for mountain bike rides, but the combination of a Peak Design Capture Clip with an Arca Swiss plate and a GoPro tripod adapter weighed too much and dug into my upper arm and chest. I needed something lightweight that wouldn't harm me in a crash and hopefully break on impact. This design is incredibly simple, featuring two plates and a small angle adapter to adjust the camera's position. Two sets of 3D-printed bolts (socket type) and nuts are required: you can find them here - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:193647. The existing M5 bolts that come with your GoPro will work fine for securing the angle mount and the camera itself, along with two additional M5 nuts. I added a layer of stick-on rubber to the back plate so the entire assembly wouldn't slide down the strap during aggressive trail riding.
