This design functions as a custom matte box that effectively shields the lens from intense sunlight glare, preventing flaring when shooting in bright conditions. It also serves as a convenient lens cover that secures tightly in place. To assemble this design, you'll need to obtain 1.5mm diameter steel rod for use in constructing the hinges. I specifically designed this matte box to fit my GoPro Hero 7 Black model; however, its compatibility with other GoPro models remains uncertain.
