Gophert CPS-3205 II PSU - SuperSlim under shelf hanger mount and front remote switch
thingiverse
When I opted to suspend my Gopher PSU from the shelf to liberate some precious desktop space, I found myself compelled to create a few new fasteners. It then became glaringly obvious that I needed to address the switch on the rear of my otherwise exceptional PSU. To ensure the front powerswitch functions correctly, it is essential to mount it beneath a shelf (or an improvised ceiling) because of the upward force exerted by the switchbar. Remove the small feet from the PSU and enjoy the new front power switch. Initially, everything worked smoothly, but after a few days I was forced to apply a small strip of PCB-cutoff to assist the switch in activating. Added two images illustrating this fix. Apparently, the PLA simply couldn't withstand the force. However, after the glued-on addition, the switch functioned perfectly again. On the right-hand side, I have also included a holder for attached cables and a mechanism to secure alligators. One clip is located on either side of the bar in the middle, designed for storage without causing short circuits. The CPS-3205 II measures 167mm in length. If you own a different model (with varying length) of Gopher PSU, feel free to ask me to modify the design of the powerswitch to suit your needs. If I have sufficient time, I may be able to assist you. I have included specially adapted 140mm lengths for printing on smaller printers. The power bar must be glued together, of course. Printed without supports or other aids on my somewhat limited FlashForge Finder using the following settings: High (slower) Layer Height: 0.12mm, 0.20mm Shells: 7, 4, 4 Infill: 50%, Hex, Disable Combine Speed: 50mm/s, 70mm/s Temp: 215C Due to the small footprint on rails, it's likely that good glue is essential. It's also crucial to use a decent amount of infill with solid structure in the switchbar to prevent flexing. If this design brings a smile to your face or solves a problem for you, please consider uploading a "make" or at least leaving a comment? Thank you very much in advance. https://www.paypal.me/TalhaKZ/1usd
