This project shares similarities with the previous LED lightbar designed for the MK3S MMU, but now the bar is attached to a 5mm x 250mm long gooseneck tubing section at its end. The gooseneck tubing itself comes from a PC microphone stand purchased at a discount store and functions well due to the lightweight nature of both the PLA and the LED COB striplight, preventing sagging or drooping over time. A 12V, 0.2A power supply delivers the necessary energy, and an in-line rotary control can be easily added to adjust light intensity. As long as you're comfortable with basic soldering skills and handling thin wires that require threading through the gooseneck tubing, constructing this project is relatively straightforward. This project provides a great starting point for experimenting with different applications such as desk lamps, as all you need then is a sturdy base and either a mounted toggle switch or an in-line switch, which can also be adjustable.
