Gooseneck tablet holder on Dell U2415 monitor stand

Gooseneck tablet holder on Dell U2415 monitor stand

I had a gooseneck phone holder which I no longer use but now wish to repurpose this to be a tablet holder such that the tablet can be mounted/elevated above my monitor (a Dell U2415)- mainly as a remote screen to monitor my 3D printer using the Android BabyCam app. NOTE: My monitor is mounted close to the table top as this is my preferred viewing angle. This setup may not be suitable if your monitor is mounted high above the desk. So my solution is to fix the gooseneck to the back of the monitor stand and modify the handphone mount to connect to a tablet holder that is suitably sized to hold my Samsung tablet. I remix 2 designs to achieve this. Petemagnusson made a U2415 monitor stand adaptor which is perfect for my purpose - and JagArBozzen has the exact tablet holder I am looking for. I only use the tablet holder pieces in his design but not the actual arm. I hack together a quick mounting plate to fix JagArBozzen's tablet holder to the gooseneck. For the actual gooseneck, I thought of just inserting this into a cicular "conduit" that is attached to the monitor stand. Quite please with the outcome - but again please note that this may not be suitable if your monitor is elevated higher than what is shown on my photos.
