Goomba and Fire Flower Rice Mold
thingiverse
Create Mario-themed rice balls using a 1/4" acrylic sheet mold. Wash and dry all parts before cutting them from the acrylic sheet. The squares with notches serve as backing while those with goomba/flower outlines form the walls of the mold. Glue features, such as goomba eyes and flower centers, to the backing pieces. Assemble three wall pieces for each mold, ensuring a seamless fit. Attach registration marks (rectangles on the edge of the backing) to the back of the mold without gluing the backing itself. Prepare Japanese sushi rice and fill the mold with it, using a goomba/flower silhouette to press the rice into shape. Flip over the mold, remove the backing, and gently push out the rice ball. A modified version can be created on a Makerbot or 3D printer.
