Google WiFi Mount
thingiverse
The Google WiFi does come with an option to wall-mount units. However, no mount or screwholes are provided. I wanted to wall-mount my base unit at the same spot where my old router was mounted, so I came up with a solution! This hanger is very simple in design. It's actually a small shelf for the Google WiFi unit to sit on. The shelf is mounted to the wall by attaching it to the power adapter. The power adapter is plugged into the wall through the wall-mount. Since the hole for the power adapter is a little oversized, the mount will tilt forward slightly. I solved this problem by securing the mount with a zip-tie around the power adapter. This mount works only on horizontally mounted power outlets. Hopefully, I'll get some time to create one that fits vertically mounted power outlets as well. There's still some room behind the Google WiFi unit for managing cables, but I recommend keeping it simple and using this space mainly for the power cable.
