Google Pixel XL Dock

To add some personality to the dock, four files have been uploaded in different colors that can be printed to create the Google "G" logo. These files can be glued into the existing "G" imprint. Speakers are now aligned correctly! Sorry for the inconvenience! This dock is designed specifically for the new Google Pixel XL phone. It's built to complement the features of this device, with a key function being the ability to charge it through a hole for a USB Type-C charging cable. The dock also includes carefully placed and curved holes that not only allow sound to escape from the bottom of the phone but also slightly amplify it. This feature is great for using the Google Assistant. The dock sits low enough for easy access to the fingerprint scanner on the back, as well as the volume and power buttons. To prevent the phone from falling out during normal use, a slightly raised wall has been included. Important Note: The dock fits most normal cases on the Google Pixel XL phone, but not with very thick ones. To allow use of thicker cases, the slightly-raised front wall can be removed! If you make one of these docks, it will mean a lot! Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 5 Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Infill: 20% Notes: I printed this with support material only in the speaker and charging cable holes. It turned out very well. How I Designed This Design Process The dock was designed after finding a need for one on Thingiverse. Autodesk Inventor, my Google Pixel XL phone, and a caliper were used to carefully design a functional phone charging dock.
