Google Pixel 2 camera guard
thingiverse
I designed this simple camera guard for my Google Pixel 2. My phone's camera was showing signs of wear and abuse, so I came up with a solution that keeps my device slim and sexy while protecting it from further damage. The guard is only 1 mm thick and looks better than a full-body case. It's made to be printed from flexible filament, although it might also work with PLA or PETG, but I haven't tested those options yet. To attach the guard, I recommend using double-sided tape - specifically a thin and strong variety. If you're feeling brave, you can try gluing it on, but do so at your own risk. I used 2 mm wide tape from eBay, which is made by 3M under their 300LSE brand name. To apply the tape, slice it into thin strips with an exacto knife and then bend them around the guard's perimeter while sticking them in place. Be patient and use steady hands - tweezers can help you get a better grip on the pieces as they curve into shape. Good luck, and don't forget to share your results!
