Google Home Mini Stand (Pedestal)

Google Home Mini Stand (Pedestal)

When setting up the Google Home Mini near a wall/window, having it up right not only improves audio direction, but also helps it hear you better. I tried a few of the current offerings and some of them, even with sanding, caused damage to the speaker fabric. So, after some online searching, I found a parametric STL of the Google Home Mini, from which I built this stand from. It's made of a series of cylinders in various angles. The connector is routed inside with a snug receptor, so it goes in and out like a dock. Took 7 distinct iterations to achieve this one. Hence, it's the "mark VII" ("c"... it took another three tries of this design to get the connector inside just right...). Also, because the Google Home Mini’s controls are reversed, remember to enable “Reverse Device Controls” option in the Google Home App > (select your mini) > (select the gear on the upper right corner) > device settings.
