Google Home Mini Stand (Pedestal)

When placing a Google Home Mini near a wall or window, positioning it upright enhances audio direction and improves sound pickup. I experimented with existing solutions but found that some caused damage to the speaker mesh, even after sanding. After conducting online research, I discovered a parametric STL of the Google Home Mini, which I used to design this stand. This stand consists of multiple cylinders at varying angles. The connector is routed internally and fits snugly into a receptor, allowing for easy docking. It took seven distinct iterations to achieve the final design, hence its designation as "Mark VII." Achieving perfect alignment of the internal connector required an additional three attempts. When using a Google Home Mini with reversed controls, remember to enable the "Reverse Device Controls" option in the Google Home app. Go to Device Settings > (Select Your Mini) > (Gear Icon on Upper Right Corner).
