Google Home Mini flush wall mount
thingiverse
I created my own version of an in-wall mount for the Google Home Mini, which is a friction fit but won't rip the cloth if it's removed. I added a small notch at the bottom to allow a screwdriver to pop out the mini for easy removal. There are two holes on the inside that can be used with drywall screws to hold the mount in place, but I didn't end up using them. Instead, after cutting the hole in the drywall, I notched it for the tabs and twisted the entire mount until it lined up where I wanted it - and now it's not going anywhere. I also drilled a half-inch hole below the mount, next to the power outlet, to route the cord up inside the wall. To cover this hole, I designed a little plug that trims out around the cord.
