Google Home Hub Under Cabinet Twist Mount

thingiverse

This is a 4 or 3-piece easy-to-print under-cabinet mount designed specifically for Google Home Hub. The mount is engineered to be simple to rotate and remarkably strong. The bottom of the hub fits snugly, allowing for effortless rotation. A front cutout in the base accommodates the speaker. To assemble this piece, you'll need two wood screws for mounting and a bolt/nut to attach the base to the tube. This connection must be tightened securely, as it's the sole mechanism holding the base at a precise 90-degree angle to the tube. A 50mm bolt with washers will suffice; the hole measures 9mm. All parts except the tube can be printed without support material. However, you'll require supports around the top section due to its complete roundness and central location within the part. The "clip" is an optional feature but highly recommended. Without it, the base and tube will still rotate freely, but with the clip in place, they're securely locked while maintaining rotation functionality. The parts should print easily in their intended orientation, thanks to flat sides on the tube and mount components. These flat surfaces should be placed facing down on the print bed. <b>Verify that your bolt remains tight over time; if not, replace it or upgrade to the new v4 home_hub_base_tube version.</b> The one-piece home hub base tube is now available, featuring a tray for a touchscreen pen. Although you'll still need the mount and clip, this update eliminates the need for a bolt. Supports are still recommended due to the top tube's shape, and light sanding may be required after printing.
