An update can be found on a blog post at http://www.theverge.com/2013/3/26/4148302/print-your-own-google-glass-and-look-the-part. Google's augmented reality glasses were custom-made for augmented reality specialist Sander Veenhof, who can be found at www.sndrv.nl. The model is based on a Google SketchUp Warehouse design, which can be accessed at http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=bd4a3e2d48a0f683c5a704727c612a0. Despite not being specifically designed for 3D printing, the model prints without issue. The nose bridge has been made thicker and some parts have been "booleaned." It was printed using an Ultimaker. An update reveals that the files for the glasses are mostly at the correct scale, though the glasses files themselves are quite large. Another update includes the option for a complete set of glasses, with dual color printing for the frame and electronics as separate options; alternatively, monotone printing can be done using the complete glasses file. Additional projects can be found at www.rooiejoris.nl and facebook.com/europerminutedesign.
