Goode ski pole basket
prusaprinters
OverviewI lost one of my baskets a few years ago so I designed a new one. These are oversized for use in powder, but they work fine in regular conditions as well. These baskets thread onto a pair of Goode ski poles that I have, but afaik there isn't a standard thread spec for baskets. The thread OD is 20mm and the pitch is 2mm.PrintingPrint in something soft (like TPU) so you don't stab yourself when you fall. The print will require supports. The tolerances might also be off (most likely too tight) - in that case try scaling in x and y by a few percent. To dial in the scaling you need (or to quickly check if the threads match your poles) you can print thread_test.stl (w/ low infill, no supports) and see if it screws on.UPDATE NOV 2023: After skiing with these pretty extensively, I've uploaded an updated “v2” version (orange basket in the pic). Compared to v1, the new basket is thinner/more flexible (note that TPU becomes stiffer when cold), and I adjusted the thread tolerance so that it should fit on any ski pole with Goode style threads without any re-scaling required. Also, I add more holes. The old version is still available as well.
