"Good things come to those who wait." - Motivational 3D Printed Plaque
thingiverse
When griping about how slow 3D printers are, a friend of mine quipped "Good things come to those who wait" and I decided to turn it into a plaque to affix to my CR-10s to remind me to stay patient. **Scaling:** The model is roughly 200mm long, but I enlarged it slightly in Cura to be about 220mm long (this is the one you can see in the pictures). As is, the model will print just fine. You can probably shrink it down, however make sure you double-check in the layer view to ensure that there are no exceedingly thin spots that might disappear in the GCode. **Fixing to the Printer:** I was careful to place the print right in the middle of the top extrusion, then I marked each side. Next, I put a few small dots of super glue on the back face of the print so it would stick, and pressed it into place - and it looks fantastic! **Multi-Colour Printing for this Sign:** To achieve this look, I simply paused the printer when there were around 3-4 layers left on the print, removed the black material and inserted the orange. Then, I pressed resume. The result is awesome, with just a few minor gaps on the new color layer - but this is just due to the new material taking a while to extrude properly. Any questions?
