Goo-less soap dish
thingiverse
If your soap gets soft and gooey in your soap-dishes, this may help. I designed it to not only drain the water dripping off the soap directly back into the sink, but also allow airflow all around the soap to quickly dry it. The longer water stays on the soap, the deeper it soaks in and softens the soap. I've been using this for a month now and it has worked out great. The file named soapdish2.stl has 45 degree angles and prints with no infill and no supports with the drain spout pointing up (print it on its back). The only requirement is that your printer has adequate cooling to print a 45 degree overhang and bridge a ~12mm gap (should be easy). Use two walls in your slicer. I printed it at 0.16mm layer height. If you want the part that comes into contact with the soap extra smooth, print at ~0.08mm or less (based on your printer's "magic number"). If your printer is exceptionally good at printing overhangs, soapdish.stl has rounded corners, in case you prefer that look to the angles. The same as above applies, print it with the drain-spout at the top and use no supports.
