Goniometer Rotate-and-Tilt platform for camera fine adjust

This is a Goniometer Design i.e., Rotate-and-Tilt Platform. The idea is to attach a camera on top and accurately orient it for piggy-back astrophotography on a telescope or mount. It only requires an additional metal screw to attach the middle part on the bottom base, preventing the camera from falling. It's derived from: https://www.instructables.com/id/3D-Printed-Pan-Tilt-Goniometer/ in a more compact layout with 1/4" holes for the camera, markers, and centering. The TinkerCad model is: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/0qa0Knh0zka-goniometer-pan-n-tilt Print Settings ============= **Material**: You can print with PLA or PETG. PETG is more sturdy and flexible, so I recommend it for most parts. I printed all parts in black except for pan and tilt screws which are light green. **Print settings**: Most parts were printed at 150 or 200 um layer resolution without a raft or support. Infill was set to 60%. - Bottom: print flat on the bed. - Top plate: print flat upside-down with support (for the two outer cylinders on the axis). - Middle: print it flat with support, to hold the middle plate and keep the gear at high resolution. You may try something different (i.e., vertical), but you'll probably need supports anyway. - Screws: you need two of these. Print them vertically with a raft. - Screw holder: you only need one of this. Print it upside-down. Post-Printing ============= Polish the parts, including the two holes in the middle part. The top plate clips into place between the two opposite walls of the middle part while holding the middle pan screw. Then drop the assembly into the bottom part with the bottom screw on the side. Optionally, hold the bottom rotate screw with its holder that fits into its opposite shape. Use a metal screw to keep the goniometer tight, preventing the camera from falling when the mount is inclined.
