The molar, initially documented as mastodon material, underwent 3D scanning on May 24, 2018, utilizing a Go!Scan 50 at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. Originating from the American Museum of Natural History in New York in 1933, it was gifted to the eastern United States and assigned specimen number G-28053. This image is courtesy of the Dayton Society of Natural History.
