Golf Ball Life Preserver
thingiverse
Designed with a playful twist, this project aims to provide entertainment for friends during golf games by strategically placing balls in water hazards at designated holes. A press-fit of most standard golf balls is achieved through an inner diameter of 42.6 mm. For easier assembly, the design includes both individual halves and a complete whole version. The test prototype shown was printed with a layer thickness of 0.20 mm; however, visible layering is evident near the top portion. To achieve a more refined finish, I'm printing my finished models at 0.15 mm from the bottom up to 4 mm in height, followed by 0.10 mm layers from 4 to 5 mm, and then 0.05 mm layers from 5 mm and beyond. When printed with 20% infill density, the golf ball floated partially submerged but leaned significantly.
