Golf ball
thingiverse
Rewritten golf ball project with varying designs and instructions for creating your own version using OpenSCAD. Includes descriptions of golf-sh, golf-ss versions, an outside-only design drawn in Blender, and a Scad file that hollows the exterior and adds support pieces. The challenge is to improve upon the blender part in OpenSCAD with parametric depth. Instructions for creating your own version are provided: choose between golf-sh (35 mins) or golf-ss (1 hr), edit the Scad file, or create your own STL file. Wall thicknesses can be adjusted, and support can be removed by commenting out (*). The creator expresses uncertainty about the depth of the dimples and may experiment with alternative versions. Detailed Blender drawing instructions are also provided for creating a mesh sphere into a golf ball, including selecting and extruding polygonal faces and smoothing the surface. Feedback on improvements is welcomed.
