GoldenJet's 3D model was initially designed using Sketchup 8 before being converted into all other major 3D formats. The company's native file type is .skp, while the 3dsmax scene was created using 3ds Max 2016 and rendered with Vray 3.00. A major hub for GoldenJet is situated at Keflavik International Airport. GoldenJet boasts a diverse fleet consisting of six aircraft: one McDonnell Douglas MD-83 and three Boeing 757's, plus two Gulfstream G550. Founded on May 12, 2013, GoldenJet started out with a duo of MD-80's. Later, the company made headlines when it sold its MD-80's to Golden Moose Airways for a reported 41,506,789USD, opting instead to acquire two Boeing 757-217W's and an additional third Boeing on the same terms. GoldenJet received a pair of Gulfstream G550 jets from defunct Royal Airways, where GoldenJet was previously affiliated, in June 2013. The company painstakingly reworked them into commercially viable aircraft by June 7th of the same year. With ambitions to increase its reach even further, the airline sold two MD-83's on March 5th, 2014 before securing an order for another Boeing 757. Notably, GoldenJet unveiled a stunning five Bombardier Challenger 300s and reconverted them into passenger-friendly jets just days prior. These were added to the existing fleet as part of the company's growth drive which began in mid-July 2014 when they commenced services to five more Icelandic destinations – Akureyri, Höfn, Isafjördur, Húsavík and Sauðárkrókur, Egilsstaðir, Grímsey. Currently, GoldenJet connects six global hubs - Nuuk in Greenland; London Heathrow; Paris CDG Airport, Manchester Airpot; to its Icelandic main stations Akureyri HFN Höfn ISF Isafjördur HKK Húsavik AKT Akureyrí SAU Egilsstadir ICE Akureyri Airport GRY Akureyri Intl & others - 11 routes are now being covered, though expansion into new areas is being aggressively pursued.
