They are one McDonnell Douglas MD-83, three Boeing 757's, and two Gulfstream G550. The company was officially founded on May 12, 2013. The company began with two MD-80's. On June 2, 2013 the company sold the MD-80's and purchased three MD-83's. On June 6, 2013 the company received two Gulfstream G550 from Royal Airways [now defunct], of which GoldenJet was a subsidiary, to be reworked into commercial versions. GoldenJet completed reworking them into commercial versions on June 7, 2013. On March 5th, 2014 GoldenJet sold two MD-83's to Golden Moose Airways and bought two Boeing 757-217W's from them for a symbolic price of $41,506,789USD. Later, the company ordered one more Boeing 757-217W. On July 28th, five Bombardier Challenger 300's were delivered and remodeled into commercial jets. On the same date, the company established five more regional Icelandic routes. The company now has eleven routes, but plans to have much more in the future. GoldenJet operates flights to Akureyri, Höfn, Isafjordur, Husavik, Saudarkrokur, Egilsstadir, Grimsey, Nuuk, London, Manchester, and Paris.
