This is my latest creation, a 2-inch micro FPV Quadcopter designed to deliver high-performance flight and stunning onboard recording. Equipped with the Caddx Turtle V2 camera, capable of capturing vivid 1080p footage in real-time, this drone weighs in at a total of 78 grams without its battery and approximately 104 grams when paired with a 3s 300mah LiPo. I've found this design to be incredibly responsive and agile both indoors and outdoors, although it was initially designed for outdoor flight. I've had an absolute blast flying this model, and I'm confident you will too if you decide to bring it to life. The prototype Prop Guards were printed, but unfortunately, the drone wouldn't fly well on a 2s battery, so they were abandoned altogether. Fortunately, the drone flies remarkably well without them, making them optional unless you have a specific need for them. Here are the key components used in this build: - HGLRC XJB F428 V2 Stack: A high-performance flight controller featuring a 28A BLHeli-S ESC. - Diatone Mamba 1103 8500KV Brushless Motors: High-speed brushless motors ideal for micro FPV quadcopters. - Budget-friendly RacerStar 1103 8000KV Brushless Motors: A cost-effective alternative to the Diatone Mamba motors. - Caddx Turtle V2 1080p 60fps Mini HD FPV Camera: A high-quality camera capable of capturing stunning onboard footage. - Gemfan 2035 Propellers: Four-blade propellers designed for efficient flight and reduced vibration. - Lately, I've been flying the Gemfan Hulkie 1940 Propellers, which have proven to be more durable in crashes. - FrSky XM+ SBUS Mini Receiver: A compact receiver ideal for micro FPV quadcopters. - TBS Unify Pro32 Nano VTX: A high-performance video transmitter featuring a 5G8 link. - XT30 LiPo Connector Pigtail: A versatile connector suitable for various battery configurations. - Lumenier Micro AXII Shorty U.FL 5.8GHz Antenna RHCP: A compact antenna designed for optimal signal reception. The batteries used in this build are: - 2s 300mah LiPo: A high-capacity battery ideal for extended flight times. - 3s 300mah LiPo: A more powerful battery option suitable for higher-performance flights.
