Golden Gear Trophy 2015
grabcad
In my initial foray into GrabCAD challenges, I am thrilled to participate in this challenge and hope to be its winner. The tagline "Just for Fun" inspired me to create a trophy design that reflects my creativity (just for fun). To represent the challenge's name, "Golden Gear," I primarily used "Helical Gears" with varying diameters and included a "Rack base" from the "Rack and Pinion Gear" arrangement. As a Mechanical Engineering student, I am passionate about "Automotive" (cars), so I designed the trophy base as a car showcasing its components. The trophy will be awarded to the challenge winners, and I created a wrestling ring where Grabby stands on a gear tree as the winner after defeating all opponents, with the GrabCAD logo also featured. Although it's just for fun, I dedicated 7 days of my winter vacation to this project. :) The trophy includes 1*8 Clamps, 1*10 Bolts, 1*16 Nuts (in the shape of gears with diameters of 13 and 20), 1*4 Studs, 1*8 Bearings, 1*4 Wheels, Helical Gears with various diameters (20, 40, 50, 60, and 70), a Rack (Rack and Pinion Gear) base, 1*2 Base pieces, 1*8 Circlips, and 1*1 Protection. The dimensions of the trophy are 150*120*140mm, and it is made from plastic material. Software used for designing includes Solidworks, Keyshot, Photoshop, and 3D Builder.
