Golden Gear Challenge Coin

grabcad

This is my third submission for the GrabCAD challenge, "The Golden Gear Awards 2013." Challenge coins are typically used to represent various units and deployments, often presented by unit commanders, and serve as a way to boost morale and showcase one's experiences. Challenge coin traditions involve challenging someone to produce their own coin; if they can't, they perform a task like push-ups or buy a round of drinks. My design for the Golden Gear Award challenge coin features the award's badge on the "Heads" side and the specific award name along with "Powered by Engineers" on the "Tails" side and back, respectively. The coin can be printed in brass/bronze ($58.97 to $97.33), strong & flexible plastic ($5.79-$7.62, polished Alumide optional), or detailed acrylic ($11.65-$15.68). If chosen, I will create a unique coin for each specific award name. The STL file provided is named "GG Challenge Coin," with dimensions of 4.02 x 0.3 x 4.02 cm and a volume of 3.0606 cm³, featuring a density of 63.13%.
