Gold Atom

Gold Atom

thingiverse

The depicted gold atom consists of 79 electrons, with six shells that independently rotate on a gimbal system. This intricate structure was successfully printed using an Ultimaker at a .1mm layer height, resulting in excellent quality. Initially, the rings may be slightly locked but can be easily set into motion by forcing rotation along their axes; after one or two revolutions, they should spin smoothly.
