Gojo / Purell gear
thingiverse
I've got a Gojo LTX-7 soap dispenser that's stopped dispensing soap altogether. It only dispenses half a dose before shutting off, but I can still hear the motor spinning away. After taking it apart for inspection, I found out that the gear on the motor shaft had cracked wide open, allowing the axle to spin freely inside the gear hole. I decided to design and print a replacement part myself. When printing it out, my printer failed to match the dimensions given, so if you're having trouble getting it onto the axle, just drill out the center hole with a 2mm drill. After thoroughly testing the soap dispenser (I dispensed five doses without any issues!), I'm happy to report that it's working like new. Since I couldn't find spare parts for the dispenser and the cheapest one on eBay was over 42 EUR with shipping, I figured designing and printing a new part would be the best bet.
