Ra is depicted as a falcon and exhibits traits reminiscent of the sky god Horus. At various points in ancient Egyptian mythology, these two deities were combined into a single entity known as Ra-Horakhty, representing Ra, who embodies the essence of Horus across both horizons. During the New Kingdom period, when Amun gained significant influence, he was merged with Ra to form Amun-Ra.
