I carefully scaled this project, cutting it into manageable pieces and adding pins to hold them together. I'm not entirely confident in how it will turn out, so I'll just go ahead and print it now. After a moment of reflection, I realized my mistake: the pins meant to connect the individual parts are too large. I'll need to grind them down to size before they'll fit properly. It looks like I've got everything under control now. I've fixed the pin issue and haven't printed anything yet, so I'll wait until tomorrow to start again. In any case, my first three prints came out nicely – a great sign! However, I do need to remember to keep the infill low on these pieces; they're already heavy enough as it is with higher infill settings.
