Carbon kinetics costs 12 euros, a tiny price for such a flimsy piece of plastic that will break apart again in just a few days. The small teeth that snap off are too fragile and inflexible to withstand even the slightest stress. I decided to take matters into my own hands and design an alternative cover from scratch. I started by stripping away the outer rim and the tiny supports that held the covering surface in place, taking care to smooth out any rough edges with a gentle sanding motion. The result was a sleek and streamlined fit that was surprisingly secure once I applied the right amount of pressure - just be sure you've sanded it enough first. Layer settings: 0.3 mm Infill: 30% (you can adjust this to anywhere between 30-100%, but be aware that anything above 50% is largely unnecessary) Material: PLA Printing temperature: 200°C Cooling requirements: a good airflow is essential, as well as a solid strategy for bridging. Update: I've added an additional STL file for printing the cover upside-down without supports. However, this requires plenty of air circulation to prevent warping or other print defects - proceed with caution!
