My sister got me this lantern as a gift a few years ago. The bottom unscrews to reveal a storage compartment, which is handy for the AC charger. Unfortunately this cover/base was an extremally poor fit, and never did a good job of staying on. At one point, I ran across it (without the lantern) while cleaning, didn't recognize what it was, and threw it away. I found that a lid from a big protein powder container fit about as well (meaning badly) as the original... So when I finally got a 3D printer, this was among the first things I decided to use it for. This base is MUCH better than the original. Not only does it stay on, but it is flared to make the lantern that much less likely to get knocked over. So if you have one of these and are fed-up with the base coming off by itself, here is your solution. The ring .stl file is so you can test the fit of the threads for a perfect fit without wasting so much print time and filament. If you need to scale for a perfect fit, then only scale the X and Y... If you scale the Z it will change the pitch of the threads. There us a crossbar grip on the bottom, so you'll need support material around it.
