Go Pro Session protection + filter 52mm

thingiverse

This was originally a weekend project that spilled over into a few extra days. I've always wanted to add filters to my Go Pro Session without shattering any glass or damaging filters I already had scattered around the house. So I grabbed the smallest one at hand - 52mm - and attempted to adapt it to the Go Pro. For now, I've only printed in PLA, although my initial plan was to use some TPU...I'll share some photos when I get back to it. I used supports to print the parts, but this option will be up to you and your printer... If you have any suggestions or wild ideas, don't hesitate to comment! The version without the two tabs can be used on some drone frames. It should fit perfectly on a Diatone Crusader frame. The camera slips in through the back and fits snugly, but for those who prefer not to use it that way, there's also a lid that goes at the end and encloses the camera within its protection. There's also a small ridge near the top where the filters are. This is designed to stop the camera from sliding into the filter and causing damage from behind. Depending on your printer, you may need to deburr the holes - especially the little ridge meant to prevent the camera from slipping in. I discovered that sometimes it needs a bit of attention, but this depends on the printing material, printer, and many other factors...
