Go Pro - floater - grip - two parts
thingiverse
I created my own GoPro floater after failing to find one that met my expectations. This custom-made floater consists of two distinct parts that can be securely attached using a 1.75 mm filament inserted through pre-drilled holes and melted at the ends, ensuring a snug fit that won't come loose over time. The W-shaped component features an expanded base for enhanced strength. I designed this floater as a modular unit to facilitate easy replacement of the top portion in the event it sustains damage. If additional support is required, a small hole on the bottom allows for the attachment of a strap, providing a secure grip when held in hand. To bring my design to life, I chose PETG material and a 0.2 mm layer height, which yields optimal results. It's essential to print the floater with the holes facing downwards, towards the build plate, to ensure proper adhesion; consequently, applying a brim during printing is highly recommended.
