Hi this is my entry to win the GoPro 4. I'm a car enthusiast so I thought I'd follow what I know to create something for that use. Check out the YouTube video of it in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ht4QCHeR9uI And vote for it by downloading and liking it here so I can win the competition! Here's the GO-Pilot, a GoPro accessory designed to take you where the action is in the car. Its main purpose is to give you an immersive experience like sitting in the passenger seat as a co-pilot would. To achieve this, I needed to position the GoPro exactly in that location - the passenger seat. The GO-Pilot fits onto the bars of the headrest on the passenger side, without removing the headrest itself, which is a thoughtful design feature. It's compatible with most car headrest post locations, which vary from 110mm to 200mm apart according to my research, and the posts range in diameter from 10-12mm. The GO-Pilot caters for these possible dimensional changes by having slots for variations. Another great feature is that it allows you to rotate the camera view thanks to its GoPro mount design. It uses a buckle clip instead of a screw-on mount because I believe this would be more reliable in high-speed situations where G-forces might be high and the mount could break. The GO-Pilot mount has 8 sides, allowing you to locate the GoPro at the correct desired angle. For example, you might want to record the pedals and steering wheel action so the mount would be positioned not straight on but towards the driver's side for rally driving. Alternatively, you might want to position it straight on so you get a glimpse of the driver on the side of the shot and most is focused on the road ahead while chasing another car. It could also turn the attention opposite the driver to see if you end up in front of the car on your side for drag racing. Remember, I hope you have fun with it, but always obey the road rules and don't be silly on the road!
