Monitor your garden with this IoT powered Garden Gnome! Sensors: Track outdoor temperature, humidity, soil moisture, swimming pool temperature and water level. Power: Powered by a LiPo battery and solar panel for sustainable energy. Radio: Connects to Wi-Fi and the cloud through an online/mobile dashboard at https://freeboard.io/board/7XJ6_T. Requires: 1. A Particle Photon WiFi controller. 2. A LiPo Rider Solar Battery Charger. 3. A solar panel. 4. Waterproof temperature, DHT11 temperature/humidity, and soil moisture sensors. 5. A breadboard with various resistances. (Average cost: approximately $60.) How to Assemble the Circuit: Assemble the circuit following the pictures below. Secure all parts on the breadboard using duct tape. Insert the completed board into the gnome. Pass the sensor cables through the rear hole, covering them with a small cover to prevent water entry. All junctures in the gnome model are embossed for water/humidity resistance. Best printed in Laybrick or Wood filaments. For added impermeability, paint with acrylic. The Code: Load the provided code into your Particle Build IDE (PARTICLE-LOOP, ONEWIRE, and HTTPCLIENT libraries required). Change the Dweet name to a preferred choice. Open the Freeboard dashboard and clone it (using the Clone button at the bottom of the dashboard). Update the Datasource on the top-right panel with your dweet name. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 20% Notes: Best printed using temperature-resistant materials like ABS, Laybrick or Wood. Post-Printing Instructions: Easy Version: Requires: 1. Particle Photon Board. 2. LiPo Rider Solar Battery Charger. 3. Temperature Sensor. 4. Five 10k Ohm Resistances. 5. Breadboard. Advanced Version: In addition to the Easy Version requirements, also need: 1. DHT11 Temp/Humidity Sensor. 2. Soil Humidity Sensor. 3. Extra 10k Resistance. Custom Section: Greetings Based on the Makerbot Gnome model
