In my second attempt at Gnomish Replication, I utilized http://my3dscanner.com for a more effective photos-to-3D conversion than any other method I've tried so far and even better quality than MakerScanner provided. Check out my first attempt here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4693. Using 30 iPhone 4 images, I processed the data through my3dscanner overnight, then fine-tuned it using Meshlab and Blender.
