When I first laid eyes on the original Runcam micro, it reignited my passion for my trusty RotorX Atom. However, the swift wouldn't fit between the standoffs, so I took matters into my own hands and created my very first canopy. I then upgraded the 1104 motors to 1407s, swapped out the little bee's ESCs for BLheli_s units, shifted from a 3s battery setup to a 4s one, and before I knew it, I was power looping it right into my driveway on its third battery. Since replacing the frame would have been a real hassle and the hole pattern could have used some improvement for the canopy's sake, I designed V1, which bears a striking resemblance to the Atom in terms of shape. V1.2 attempted to strip away even more carbon, while V2 took things up a notch by switching to an X configuration with 4mm thinner arms. The Supper Stretched is essentially a stretched version of V2, offering both 4 and 3mm arm options. Check out the flight demo here (https://youtu.be/9qV1UDWhQzw). Now that I've built the Gnome, newer electronics have somewhat made it seem outdated – although not by much. I'm itching to start working on a V3 that's specifically tailored for AIO 20x20 stacks and camera combos like the mini Runcam Split and Caddx Turtle. My current builds are: V1 and V2: FC - Betaflight F3 (https://www.fpvmodel.com/betaflightf3-flight-controller_g1231.html) ESCs - Emax 30amp Bullet BLheli_s (https://www.emaxmodel.com/bullet-series-30a-esc.html) Motors - Hyperlite T1 1407 3600kv (https://pirofliprc.com/Hyperlite-1407-3600-Race-Series_p_3579.html) Receiver - FrSky XM+ (https://pirofliprc.com/XM-PLUS-Mini-SBUS-Non-telemetry-Full-Range_p_3659.html) VTX - TBS Unify HV Race (https://pirofliprc.com/TBS-UNIFY-PRO-5G8-V3-SMA_p_4333.html) FPV cam - Runcam Micro Swift (https://pirofliprc.com/RunCam-Micro-Swift-3-21mm-M8-Lens_p_5869.html) SS: FC - Betaflight F4 (https://www.fpvmodel.com/betaflightf4-flight-controller_g1351.html) ESCs - Speedix ES 25amp BLHeli_s (https://pirofliprc.com/Spedix-ES-25A-2-4S-BLHeliS-ESC_p_3536.html) Motors - Hyperlite T1 1407 3600kv (https://pirofliprc.com/Hyperlite-1407-3600-Race-Series_p_3579.html) Receiver - FrSky XM+ (https://pirofliprc.com/XM-PLUS-Mini-SBUS-Non-telemetry-Full-Range_p_3659.html) VTX - TrampHV (https://pirofliprc.com/TrampHV-USA-Version_p_3709.html) FPV cam - Runcam Micro Swift (https://pirofliprc.com/RunCam-Micro-Swift-3-21mm-M8-Lens_p_5869.html) Update: Canopy additions I was initially planning to start from scratch, but I ended up just stretching the height of the canopy for more stack clearance. Also tweaked the FPV cut out to better accommodate the Caddx Turtle's wider lens. Added a split down the back allowing an easier way to remove the VTX without having to disconnect the antenna. Original was designed with a dipole antenna in mind. I reinforce my antennas by heat shrinking a piece of zip tie to it. The Turtle dimensions really suck for 30x30 to 20x20 stack adapters. I'm including a temporary one. The final adapter will be one piece and I'll probably upload it as part of a caddx turtle accessories thing of its own. Update 2: Requested by Darije - Added canopies that don't require threaded inserts. Thread 3mm screws right into the plastic - A reinforced V2 frame that might help if printed instead of the much advised CNC'ed carbon route
